About The Position

A caring, organized family in San Antonio is seeking an experienced, engaging, and proactive nanny to care for their 6-year-old daughter and 2-year-old son. The nanny should enjoy working with young children, encourage creativity and learning through play, and help maintain a calm, structured home environment. The family values a peaceful, tidy home and seeks someone patient and organized who is confident redirecting young children and fostering positive sibling relationships. The family has a cat and a dog, so comfort around pets is required.

The position runs Monday through Friday from 2:00 PM to 5:15 PM, with 10 guaranteed hours per week. The start date is ASAP, and the end date is May 31, 2027. The starting rate is $17.50 per hour.

Requirements

• Be warm, patient, and dependable.
• Have experience caring for multiple young children.
• Have potty training experience.
• Have strong multitasking and organizational skills.
• Be confident redirecting sibling conflicts and maintaining a calm environment.
• Have strong safety awareness and communication skills.
• Be self-motivated and take initiative.
• Be comfortable following an established routine and family expectations.
• Be comfortable around pets, including a cat and a dog.

Nice To Haves

• Enjoy planning arts, crafts, and educational activities.
• Be comfortable assisting with kindergarten homework.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, engaging care for two young children.
• Help the children transition home after school.
• Serve afternoon snacks; meal preparation is not required.
• Keep children's bedrooms, play areas, and activity spaces clean and organized.
• Fold and put away children's laundry.
• Change children's bedding weekly.
• Maintain the children's changing area and diaper supplies.
• Organize and rotate toys, books, and craft supplies.
• Complete child-related dishes and light kitchen cleanup.
• Ensure the home is tidy before the end of each shift.
