About The Position

We are a fun-loving, tight-knit family of 3 seeking an engaging and responsible nanny for our 12-year-old daughter. We both work full-time and are looking for someone who can be a positive role model, similar to a big sister or big brother. Our daughter enjoys activities like swimming, visiting Disneyland, going to the park, and imaginative play. We hope to find a nanny who can encourage a healthy balance between screen time and other activities, keeping her active and engaged. The ideal candidate is fun, playful, and willing to get involved in activities. Strong communication skills with parents and the ability to provide feedback are important. We are looking for someone with creative ideas for activities that don't involve screens, who can assist with 7th-grade homework, and genuinely connect with pre-teens. The role requires patience, kindness, confidence, and consistency in reinforcing boundaries. Understanding the unique balance of supporting a pre-teen's growing independence while maintaining clear expectations is key.

Requirements

2+ years of childcare experience
Fluent in English
Driver's License
Comfortable driving the child in your personal vehicle
Clean driving record
College degree or currently in college
Basic cooking ability (e.g., heating up a frozen pizza or making a PB&J)
