About The Position

A private family in Glen Rock, NJ is seeking a live-out nanny and family assistant. The mother works full-time from home, and the father operates businesses from home. The family is looking for a long-term relationship. They have a mini golden doodle. The family is expecting twins in late 2026 and anticipates needing additional help during the initial months, with compensation to be revisited at that time. The schedule is full-time, Monday-Friday, approximately 45 hours per week, with flexibility for seasonal changes and activities.

Requirements

• Extensive full-time experience with toddlers and young children.
• Three verifiable childcare references.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-directed and comfortable working independently.
• Up-to-date CPR certification.
• Willingness to submit to a criminal background check.
• Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle for commuting.
• Willingness to travel with the family as needed.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with multiples.
• Infant care experience.
• Experience supporting families through a newborn transition.

Responsibilities

• Be the go-to person for our daughter throughout the day, prioritizing her safety, happiness, and development.
• Prepare meals and snacks (lunch daily, snacks, and occasional dinner prep).
• Plan and lead age-appropriate learning, creative play, and exploration activities.
• Engage in outdoor activities daily when weather permits, including parks, walks, and backyard time.
• Manage naps, transitions, and the general rhythm of the child's day.
• Drive to and from activities, playdates, and errands using a provided family car.
• Handle household laundry (wash, fold, put away).
• Perform general tidying and organization between professional housekeeping visits.
• Manage dishes and kitchen reset throughout the day.
• Take out trash and recycling.
• Run errands such as grocery pickups, returns, and miscellaneous to-dos.
• Make in-person or online purchases for the family as needed.
• Perform other tasks as requested.
