NAND Supply Planning & Operations Manager

Pure StorageSanta Clara, CA
Onsite

About The Position

This role owns the decision of how NAND, one of Everpure's most expensive and constrained inputs, is allocated across the Contract Manufacturing (CM) network. It translates supplier allocations into executable CM supply plans, deciding where limited supply goes when it cannot cover all demands, and ensuring these decisions are consistent and defensible across products, customers, and sites. The position operates at the intersection of Commodity, Demand Planning, Finance, suppliers, and CMs, serving as the central point for reconciling component availability, production commitments, and financial exposure. When supply tightens, this role provides the business with a clear, recommended course of action.

Requirements

  • Depth in supply or material planning for constrained components, with experience operating in shortage conditions and a developed judgment for allocation trade-offs and their downstream consequences.
  • Hands-on experience planning through Contract Manufacturers.
  • Working knowledge of semiconductor or electronics component supply.
  • Fluency with supply and inventory data in ERP/MRP systems and in Excel or comparable analytics tools, including the ability to identify discrepancies in reported inventory and consumption numbers.
  • Ability to hold a clear position and drive decisions across Commodity, Finance, Demand Planning, suppliers, and CMs when priorities conflict and there is no straightforward solution.

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end NAND supply-demand plan and allocation across the CM network, translating supplier allocations into buildable plans and making trade-off decisions when supply is constrained, ensuring consistency and auditability across products, customers, and sites.
  • Manage NAND Purchase Order (PO) execution, including quantity, part number, pricing, delivery timing, and open PO status.
  • Maintain an accurate picture of consumption, inventory, Work-In-Progress (WIP), and finished goods across CM sites, validating CM-reported data.
  • Set and monitor safety stock and min/max levels across sites.
  • Identify shortages and supply risks early, and present mitigation plans and escalations with a clear recommendation.
  • Partner with Finance on NAND pricing, cost variance, inventory aging, and working capital exposure to ensure financial risks are visible proactively.
  • Serve as the primary NAND supply interface for Commodity, Demand Planning, Finance, suppliers, and CMs.
  • Provide management and S&OP with allocation, PO, and inventory reporting for planning purposes.
