Salesforce for Government serves Federal Civilian Agencies, State & Local Agencies, DoD, and Government Contractors. As a Named Account Executive, you will be crucial in driving growth and success within federal civilian agencies, specifically NASA, by developing and executing strategies for adoption, retention, and growth in assigned accounts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales and account management, with a deep understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities within federal civilian agencies, particularly NASA. As NASA transitions its business model from an "owner-operator" to a strategic collaborator with the commercial sector, the need for digital transformation is paramount. This role involves architecting the digital backbone connecting NASA with its "New Space" pioneers and legacy "Prime" contractors. With NASA's shift towards fixed-price service contracts and public-private partnerships, a unified, data-driven platform is essential for managing complex mission lifecycles, supply chain transparency, and multi-agency collaboration. The position requires a high-energy strategist who can navigate the federal procurement landscape and help NASA utilize Salesforce to streamline operations for efficient space exploration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, sales, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 10+ years of experience in sales, account management, or business development, preferably within the technology sector.
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex ideas to a variety of audiences.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Enterprise SaaS is preferred.
  • Experience working with federal civilian agencies or within the public sector is highly desirable, specifically NASA experience.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders within federal civilian agencies, including leaders, administrators, and IT professionals.
  • Understand the unique needs and challenges of federal civilian agencies and develop tailored solutions to meet their requirements.
  • Drive adoption and usage of Salesforce products and services within your accounts.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, marketing, and product development, to ensure the success of your accounts.
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans to drive revenue growth and achieve sales targets.
  • Track and report on key account metrics, including sales pipeline, revenue forecasts, and customer satisfaction.
