Nail Technician - Ortho & Sports Med
About The Position
Provides nail care services in the ambulatory setting under the direct supervision of licensed clinical professionals while maintaining all infection control and nail standards. The Nail Technician has knowledge of and utilizes appropriate age-related patient care and cultural diversity, relating to the physical and psychological needs of patients from adolescence through geriatrics. Responsibilities include preparing patient treatment areas for use, preparing and cleaning medical equipment, and disposing of biomedical waste in accordance with standards and policy. The role also involves cleaning and maintaining patient care areas or treatment rooms, monitoring stock levels of medical inventory and restocking or reordering as needed, and identifying opportunities to improve patient care.
Requirements
- Nail licensure with the Board of Cosmetology in the state(s) of practice is required.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous retail and cosmetology experience is preferred.
