About The Position

The Nail Technician provides salon clientele with professional services relating to the care and treatment of nails and skin. The role is based in a high-volume salon and spa specializing in natural nails, manicures, pedicures, and gel/Shellac services. The position reports to the Salon Manager and is nonexempt. The technician is expected to bring a positive attitude, work as part of a team, and maintain a passion for the beauty industry and continued learning.

Ongoing education is an active part of the position, with opportunities to participate in in-house and outside classes. The company operates salons in high-traffic, premier mall locations throughout the Southeast and is seeking nail specialists to support its growth.

Requirements

• Possess a valid and current board-certified license.
• Ability to use a computer keyboard, standard telephone, and other related business equipment.
• Ability to work with chemicals and chemical compounds.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• Two to five years of experience in the cosmetology or cosmetic industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Meet or exceed personal service and retail sales goals.
• Acknowledge clients within a reasonable time after they check into the salon.
• Build a client base by recruiting New Request Clients and maintaining Customer Client Cards.
• Provide quality professional service through technical skills and recommend appropriate retail products to clients.
• Respond professionally to customer service issues and promptly address complaints.
• Exhibit good communication skills.
• Participate in ongoing education on products, services, and current industry issues.
• Ensure the personal work area and salon meet or exceed State Board Regulations.
• Perform basic salon housekeeping, including cleaning, stocking, and maintaining client cards.
• Organize time and resources effectively to meet sales goals.
• Communicate issues and needs to Salon Management.
• Meet salon attendance and tardiness guidelines.
• Maintain a professional appearance and meet the salon dress code.
