About The Position

Prov is hiring a part-time Cosmetology Test Examiner to oversee cosmetology exams in Fife, Washington. The examiner provides clear verbal instructions, maintains the integrity of the testing environment, monitors candidates, and enforces National Interstate Council of State Boards of Cosmetology (NIC) protocols while avoiding prohibited communication with examiners or candidates. The role requires a professional, fair, and impartial approach to help candidates have a positive and consistent exam experience. The position offers flexible hours, work approximately 1–2 days per week, annual profit sharing, and pay of $22 per hour. Applicants must hold a Washington State license as a Master Esthetician or Nail Technician and have industry knowledge. Applicants cannot work at, speak at, visit, or receive services from an industry-related school, and cannot evaluate anyone they know personally or professionally. Employment is contingent on successfully completing a background screening.

Requirements

Licensed in Washington State as a Master Esthetician or Nail Technician, with industry knowledge.
Strong organizational and time-management skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Strong problem-solving skills and sound decision-making in a fast-paced environment.
Comfortable using technology and business software.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment.
Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately evaluate candidate performance.
Ability to apply examination standards and scoring guidelines consistently, fairly, and objectively.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including accurate documentation.

Must successfully complete the required background screening.
