About The Position

As a NA Warehouse Specialist at Chesapeake Beverage, you will be responsible for accurately picking, preparing and routing beverage orders for shipment while maintaining a safe and organized work environment. Perform other functions of the warehouse such as auditing pallets, putting away good returns, and sorting through OOC and broken case products and learn to check in returning trucks.

Requirements

  • Ability to lift and move heavy items (50 lbs.), stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and procedures in warehouse settings.

Nice To Haves

  • Forklift certification is a plus but not required. Training will be provided as needed.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution environment is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Select and gather beverage products according to order specifications using a pick list, barcode scanner, or other inventory management tools.
  • Verify product codes, quantities, and quality before packing and shipping. Ensure accurate inventory counts and report discrepancies to the Warehouse Supervisor.
  • Pack beverage products securely on pallets and label them with shipping information and handling instructions. Ensure packaging meets company standards.
  • Routing orders by customer to a specific route.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and operational procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the warehouse. Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs.
  • Work closely with other warehouse staff and departments to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment. Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
  • Strong attention to detail, good organizational skills, and the ability to follow instructions. Basic math skills for inventory management are helpful.
  • Additional duties as assigned by management, which may include tasks outside of the primary job responsibilities to support departmental goals and organizational needs.
