About The Position

The N-Spec Technician supports pipeline projects by transporting and preparing specialized equipment, operating pipeline cleaning and drying equipment, and handling pipeline pigs. The role also involves tracking pigs, maintaining equipment, participating in safety meetings, and completing related duties as assigned.

The technician is expected to interact effectively with customers and coworkers, communicate clearly, and demonstrate organization, dependability, punctuality, problem-solving ability, and advanced operator experience. A valid driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Transport equipment trailers to and from pipeline project locations.
• Rig up N-Spec equipment for pipeline projects, including hammer union and flanged piping, hoses, and related equipment.
• Load and launch pipeline pigs.
• Operate and maintain triplex pumps used to inject cleaning fluids into pipelines.
• Operate and maintain large air compressors and dryers.
• Track pipeline pigs using geophones and electronic transmitters and receivers.
• Receive and remove pipeline pigs from pig receivers.
• Operate separation equipment.
• Pressure wash and rebuild pipeline pigs.
• Attend daily, weekly, and monthly safety meetings.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
