About The Position

The Megawatt Constrained Platform Leader is a key role in the Systems Engineering Organization in Onshore Wind. This person will lead a team of engineers in designing/optimizing turbine systems and lead major NPI & RCA execution across the Engineering Organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or Computer Science.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience, including strong demonstration of technical and leadership skills.
  • Eligibility Requirements: The required work location is in Greenville, SC.
  • Ability and willingness to travel between 15% of the time.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of Systems, System Methods and Program Managers to support NPI, RTS, and cost out programs across the Megawatt Constrained Segment.
  • Partner with Product Line to guide optimal design decisions for current products, new products, and commercial deals to achieve business objectives.
  • Own the technical execution of products in the Megawatt Constrained (MWC) markets, supporting regional product needs, customer discussions, and fleet issues.
  • Lead major NPI investments from pre-conceptual design work through design, validation, and launch prioritizing and managing risks on safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
  • Lead the generation of Multigeneration Product Plan for the MWC markets, contributing technical feasibility, application space, cost, and risk.
  • Effectively manage product requirements and requirement flow down to optimize product offering and competitiveness.
  • Work with Systems Leaders across Platforms to leverage lessons learned, best practices, process improvements and standard work.
  • Effectively quantify, mitigate, and communicate risk for all MWC projects including NPI, RTS, Requisition, and Cost Out.
  • Recruit, hire, coach and develop the team to execute all aspects of Systems Engineering and build a pipeline for leadership opportunities.
