About The Position

Responsible for contributing toward the regular and efficient circulation of musical instrument and adjacent merchandise in the store (primarily Guitars, Keyboards, Orchestral Instruments and Sheet Music) by effectively purchasing, pricing, repair, and stocking. All duties are performed with a commitment to actively serving customers.

Requirements

  • Superior knowledge in musical instruments and music hardware: buying, processing and selling such products.
  • Acceptable level of proficiency in instrument maintenance (stringed instruments and orchestral instruments).
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Motivation to serve customers.
  • Maintain knowledge in the areas of music and musical gear.
  • Ability to use reference materials.
  • Ability to adapt to a flexible working schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively purchasing, pricing, repair, and stocking of musical instruments and adjacent merchandise.
  • Actively serving customers.
  • Evaluating merchandise for purchase at the incoming counter.
  • Explaining and negotiating deals with customers.
  • Merchandising the floor for best possible presentation.
  • Performing other duties as assigned by management.
