About The Position
Adelphi is seeking Music Therapists to provide services to students at schools in Plano, Texas. The ideal candidates will assess students’ needs and deliver individualized, evidence-based music therapy interventions to support educational, behavioral, communication, social-emotional, and developmental goals.
Requirements
- Board Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC) credential
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Music Therapy from an accredited program
Nice To Haves
- School-based or pediatric music therapy experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Conduct music therapy assessments to identify students’ educational, developmental, behavioral, communication, and social-emotional needs.
- Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based music therapy interventions aligned with students’ IEP goals.
- Provide individual and group music therapy services using appropriate musical activities, instruments, and techniques.
- Participate in ARD/IEP meetings and collaborate with teachers, families, and related-service professionals.
- Monitor student progress, evaluate the effectiveness of interventions, and adjust services based on documented outcomes.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and FERPA-compliant service records, progress notes, and evaluation reports.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
