About The Position
The Music Teacher teaches music lessons to students using the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum. The role works to increase and retain student enrollment while helping students grow, develop, and enjoy playing music. It also contributes to a culture of integrity, inclusion, musical passion, and respect, and provides an excellent customer experience.
Requirements
- Previous experience in music, education, or a related field.
- Ability to teach an instrument in which the candidate is proficient, such as drums, guitar, or keyboard.
- Ability to demonstrate competency and proficiency in the area they will teach.
Responsibilities
- Partner with the store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain student headcount based on community needs.
- Teach students using the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum.
- Assist with customer service as needed and help build and maintain long-term student relationships through a great experience.
- Communicate frequently with students and their families, building trusting relationships and valuing parents' knowledge of their children.
- Share students' goals and progress with students and/or their parents.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
