About The Position

Guitar Center is seeking a Music Teacher to teach music lessons to students using the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum. The teacher will help increase student enrollment and support each student’s musical growth, development, and enjoyment while fostering a culture of integrity, inclusion, musical passion, and respect. The role also includes providing excellent customer experiences and building long-term student relationships. The Music Teacher partners with the store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain students based on community needs, and works with students and their families through frequent communication about goals and progress.

Requirements

Previous experience in music, education, or a related field.
Ability to teach an instrument in which the candidate is proficient, such as drums, guitar, or keyboard.
Ability to demonstrate competency and proficiency in the area being taught.

Responsibilities

Partner with the store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain student headcount based on community needs.
Teach students using the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum.
Assist with customer service as needed and help build and maintain long-term student relationships by creating a great experience.
Communicate frequently with students and families, building trusting relationships and recognizing parents’ knowledge of their child as a music teacher.
Communicate each student’s progress to the student and/or their parents.
Frequently share students’ and/or parents’ goals and progress.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
