About The Position
Music & Arts is seeking a skilled musician and educator to teach private music lessons and inspire students. The Music Teacher creates an engaging, supportive, and safe learning environment for students of different ages and skill levels. The company handles administrative work, while the teacher focuses on instruction, student growth, and building lasting relationships with music. The role also involves communicating regularly with students and parents, setting goals, sharing progress, and collaborating with store teams on lesson scheduling and student retention. The position offers a non-teaching rate of $15.92 per hour and a teaching rate of $12–$30 per hour, depending on background and experience. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Music Education, Music Performance, or equivalent experience.
- At least 2 years of music teaching experience.
Nice To Haves
- Advanced degree (Master’s or Doctoral) in Music.
- Professional teaching memberships or certifications.
- 8 or more years of teaching experience, especially with multiple instruments, including banjo, baritone, bass clarinet, bass guitar, bassoon, cello, clarinet, flute, French horn, guitar, mandolin, oboe, percussion, piano, piccolo, saxophone, string bass, trombone, trumpet, tuba, ukulele, viola, violin, and voice.
