About The Position

Music & Arts is seeking a Music Teacher to provide private music lessons and inspire students. The teacher creates an engaging, supportive, and safe learning environment for students of varying ages and skill levels. The role includes building relationships with students and parents through communication, goal-setting, and progress updates, and working with store teams to schedule lessons and encourage student retention. Music & Arts handles administrative work so instructors can focus on teaching. The position is part-time at Store 7602 in Ridgewood, New Jersey. Pay is $15.92 per hour for non-teaching work, plus a teaching rate of $12–$30 per hour depending on background and experience. Musicians may be eligible for gig leave. Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Music Education or Music Performance, or equivalent experience.
• Two years of music teaching experience.

Nice To Haves

• Advanced degree (Master’s or Doctoral) in Music.
• Professional teaching memberships or certifications.
• Eight or more years of teaching experience, especially with multiple instruments, including banjo, baritone, bass clarinet, bass guitar, bassoon, cello, clarinet, flute, French horn, guitar, mandolin, oboe, percussion, piano, piccolo, saxophone, string bass, trombone, trumpet, tuba, ukulele, viola, violin, and voice.
