About The Position

The Equity Project (TEP) Charter School is hiring music teachers for Early Childhood (Kindergarten and 1st Grade) and Elementary School (2nd through 4th Grade) roles. Music is one of TEP’s three program pillars and is taught daily across every grade as a full academic subject. Teachers collaborate with grade-level colleagues to integrate music into the broader educational experience. The role leads daily 45-minute music periods for assigned grade-level classes, introducing young students to singing, instruments, and music-making. Teachers help Kindergarten and 1st Grade students develop foundational musical skills and a lasting appreciation for music, and teach 2nd through 4th Grade students in a learning environment designed to foster a love of learning. TEP emphasizes teacher growth, collaboration, and educational equity for students from historically underserved communities. Master Teachers earn an annual salary of $140,000 and may earn an annual bonus of up to $35,000 based on whole-school performance. The work year includes three extended rest breaks and three professional development institutes; the school also describes approximately 10 weeks of vacation per year.
