About The Position

As a Music Teacher, you will teach music lessons to students using the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum. You will help increase and retain student enrollment while supporting each student’s musical growth and enjoyment. The role also contributes to a welcoming store culture grounded in integrity, inclusion, musical passion, and respect. You will work with the store Lessons Lead, provide customer service as needed, and communicate regularly with students and families about goals and progress.

Requirements

Previous experience in music, education, or a related field.
Ability to teach an instrument in which the candidate is proficient, such as drums, guitar, or keyboard.
Ability to demonstrate competency and proficiency in the area being taught.

Responsibilities

Partner with the store Lessons Lead to schedule lessons and retain student headcount based on community needs.
Teach students using the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum.
Assist with customer service as needed and help build and maintain long-term student relationships by providing a great experience.
Communicate frequently with students and families to build trusting relationships and recognize parents’ knowledge of their children.
Share students’ goals and progress with students and/or their parents.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
