About The Position

As a Music Teacher, you will teach music lessons to students using the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum. You will help grow student enrollment and support each student’s musical development and enjoyment while contributing to a culture of integrity, inclusion, musical passion, and respect. The role also includes working with store staff and families to create a positive customer experience and build lasting student relationships.

Requirements

• Previous experience in music, education, or a related field.
• Ability to teach an instrument in which the candidate is proficient, such as drums, guitar, or keyboard.
• Ability to demonstrate competency and proficiency in the area being taught.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain student headcount based on community needs.
• Teach students using the Guitar Center Lessons Curriculum.
• Assist with customer service as needed and help build and maintain long-term student relationships by creating a great experience.
• Communicate frequently with students and families to build trusting relationships and recognize parents’ knowledge of their child.
• Share each student’s progress and goals with the student and/or their parent or guardian.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
