About The Position
Music & Arts is seeking a skilled musician and dedicated educator to teach private music lessons and inspire students. The Music Teacher creates an engaging, supportive, and safe learning environment for students of varying ages and skill levels. The role includes communicating with students and parents about goals and progress, working with store teams to schedule lessons and encourage student retention, and sharing musical expertise to foster student growth. Music & Arts handles administrative work so instructors can focus on teaching. The listed pay is $16.90 per hour for non-teaching work, plus a teaching rate of $10–$21 per hour depending on background and experience. Employees who are musicians may take gig leave to perform and return to their jobs afterward.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Music Education, Music Performance, or equivalent experience.
- At least 2 years of music teaching experience.
Nice To Haves
- Advanced degree (Master’s or Doctoral) in Music.
- Professional teaching memberships or certifications.
- At least 8 years of teaching experience, especially with multiple instruments.
