About The Position

As a Music Teacher, you will teach music lessons to students using the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum. You will help increase and retain student enrollment while supporting each student's growth, development, and enjoyment of playing music. The role also contributes to a positive store culture grounded in integrity, inclusion, musical passion, and respect. You will partner with the store Lessons Lead, provide customer service as needed, and communicate regularly with students and their families about progress and goals.

Requirements

Previous experience in music, education, or a related field.
Ability to teach an instrument in which the candidate is proficient, such as drums, guitar, or keyboard.
Demonstrated competency and proficiency in the area the candidate will teach.

Responsibilities

Partner with the store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain student headcount based on community needs.
Teach students using the Guitar Center Lessons Curriculum.
Assist with customer service as needed and help build and maintain long-term students by creating a positive experience.
Communicate frequently with students and families to build trusting relationships and value parents’ knowledge of their child as a music teacher.
Communicate each student's progress and share student and/or parent goals and progress frequently.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
