To achieve our vision, we are searching for Music Teachers in Queens Flushing with a Bachelor’s degree, at least 1-2+ years of teaching experience, and demonstrate strong content knowledge and passion for music education.

Responsibilities

  • Execute a bold vision of excellence in music education, designing inquiry-driven, musically rigorous lessons that inspire joy, creativity, and deep engagement for all students.
  • Build a vibrant, inclusive classroom culture where students develop a genuine love for music and families feel connected to a strong, welcoming community.
  • Use data, student work, and research-based instructional tools to monitor progress, refine instruction, and drive student growth in musical knowledge and skill.
  • Develop authentic, trusting relationships with students and families to support each child’s personal, academic, and artistic development.
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues and engage in ongoing professional learning, embracing feedback and coaching to continuously strengthen your teaching practice.
  • Contribute to whole-school initiatives and provide instructional support as needed, ensuring music is meaningfully integrated into the broader school experience.
  • Lead a high-quality after-school music program that deepens students’ passion, builds technical skill, and expands opportunities for performance and enrichment.
