About The Position

Action Day Elementary School is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Part-time Music Teacher for students in grades TK-4. The role involves planning and delivering engaging music lessons, including general music, choir, recorder, ukulele, rhythm and movement, and music appreciation. The teacher will also prepare students for assemblies and special performances, collaborate with other teachers and school leadership, and foster strong relationships with students and families. The ideal candidate is passionate about creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment where students develop a lifelong appreciation for music.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience teaching elementary music (TK–4) required.
  • Experience teaching general music, choir, recorder, ukulele, rhythm & movement, and music appreciation.
  • Piano proficiency for classroom accompaniment.
  • Experience preparing students for concerts, performances, and school assemblies.
  • Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
  • A collaborative, reliable, can-do attitude with excellent communication skills.
  • Willingness to support the school community.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Music Education, Music, Education, or a related field highly preferred.

Responsibilities
