About The Position

Kaleidoscope Education Solutions (KES) supports top-notch teaching and therapy professionals. Our client is seeking Certified Elementary School Teachers in Waukegan, IL to enlighten students and help them become successful and happy. This role involves presenting lessons comprehensively, using visual/audio means to facilitate learning, and providing individualized instruction through interactive methods. The teacher will create and distribute educational content, assess and record student progress, and maintain a tidy classroom. Collaboration with colleagues, parents, and stakeholders is essential, as is participation in regular meetings. The position also includes planning and executing in-class and outdoor activities, observing and understanding student behavior, and reporting any suspicions of neglect or abuse. Continuous professional development through seminars and conferences is also expected.

Requirements

• Experience teaching, preferably in an elementary setting.
• Illinois teacher certification.
• Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in teaching or a specialized subject.
• PEL License or Sub License.

Responsibilities

• Present lessons in a comprehensive manner and use visual/audio means to facilitate learning.
• Provide individualized instruction to each student by promoting interactive learning.
• Create and distribute educational content (notes, summaries, assignments, etc.).
• Assess and record student progress and provide grades and feedback.
• Maintain a tidy and orderly classroom.
• Collaborate with other teachers, parents, and stakeholders and participate in regular meetings.
• Plan and execute educational in-class and outdoor activities and events.
• Observe and understand student behavior and psyche, and report suspicions of neglect, abuse, etc.
• Develop and enrich professional skills and knowledge by attending seminars, conferences, etc.
