About The Position

As a Music Teacher, you will teach music lessons to students using the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum. You will help grow and retain student enrollment while supporting each student's musical development and enjoyment. The role also involves building trusting relationships with students and families, communicating regularly about progress and goals, and fostering a culture of integrity, inclusion, musical passion, and respect. You may assist with customer service as needed. The listed pay rate is $15.16–$19.29 per hour at the non-teaching rate and up to $27.33 per hour at the total teaching rate, depending on background and experience. Requirements

Previous experience in music, education, or a related field.
Ability to teach an instrument in which the candidate is proficient, such as drums, guitar, or keyboard.
Ability to demonstrate competency and proficiency in the area to be taught.

Responsibilities

Partner with the store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain student headcount based on community needs.
Teach students using the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum.
Assist with customer service as needed and help build and maintain long-term student relationships by creating a great experience.
Communicate frequently with students and families to build trusting relationships and incorporate parents’ knowledge of their child.
Share students’ goals and progress frequently with students and/or their parents.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
