About The Position

Holy Family School, a Catholic PreK4–8 community dedicated to academic excellence and faith formation, is seeking a passionate and qualified Music Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year. The ideal candidate will inspire a love of music while supporting the mission of Catholic education by integrating faith, creativity, and musical skill development in the classroom.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Music Education, Music, or a related field (required)
Experience with vocal and/or instrumental music instruction
Familiarity with Catholic liturgy and a willingness to support the spiritual life of the school
Strong classroom management, organization, and communication skills
Commitment to the mission and values of Catholic education
Enthusiasm for working with children and fostering their musical and personal growth
Creativity, flexibility, and a collaborative spirit
Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Nice To Haves

Teaching experience preferred, particularly at the elementary and/or middle school level
Valid teaching certification preferred, or willingness/ability to obtain certification through an alternative certification program

Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate music instruction for students in grades K–8
Teach foundational music concepts such as rhythm, melody, harmony, notation, and music appreciation
Incorporate liturgical music and assist with school Masses, prayer services, and religious celebrations
Prepare students for performances, including concerts, school programs, and special events
Foster a positive classroom environment rooted in Catholic values and respect for all learners
Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students
Collaborate with faculty and administration to support school initiatives and events
Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and participation
