About The Position
The Music Shop is seeking a friendly, motivated Full-Time Retail Sales Associate with a passion for music and strong communication skills to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment. The ideal candidate is comfortable engaging with customers, has strong computer skills, possesses knowledge of band and/or orchestral musical instruments and products. This role requires 40 hours per week on site - Tuesday thru Saturday.
Requirements
- Previous musical retail experience preferred
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Basic knowledge of musical instruments, accessories, and equipment
- Ability to multitask, stay organized, and manage time effectively
- Self-starter with a passion for music and helping others
- Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to collaborate
- Eagerness to learn new skills and product knowledge
- High School Diploma required
- Playing one or more musical instruments preferred
Nice To Haves
- degree in Music or related field is a plus
Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service in person, phone, and email, especially during peak hours with high foot traffic
- Assist customers with musical instrument, accessory, and equipment purchases
- Process transactions and operate the cash register/POS system
- Handle Cash, returns, exchanges, and customer inquiries
- Stay up to date on product knowledge and new inventory
- Maintain store cleanliness, merchandising, and an inviting storefront
