About The Position

Manage the music library to ensure music scores and instruments are properly categorized, organized and stored. This is a student worker position with Federal Work-Study (FWS) funding, requiring approximately 10 hours of work per week.

Requirements

• Knowledge of types of instruments.
• Ability to differentiate between ensembles to store scores by category.
• Basic knowledge of Excel, and categorizing and alphabetizing music and instruments.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to work independently, be organized, and provide effective customer service in a courteous manner.

Responsibilities

• Handle requests to check in/out music scores and instruments
• Maintain check in/out procedures and electronic documentation of issued music and instruments
• Shelve returned music materials and instruments
• Relay to the department chair instruments that need repair
