About The Position

The Allegra School of Music and Arts is seeking Private Strings Instructors (violin, cello, viola, upright bass, etc.) to build a full schedule in a friendly and fast-growing music school. With over 20 years of experience, the school provides rewarding opportunities for dynamic, ambitious, and talented musicians and music educators. We are looking for committed teachers who complement our dynamic team of educators and can provide instructional excellence in a thriving and inspiring studio teaching environment. We specialize in providing the highest quality of music instruction with university-trained teachers who have extensive performance experience and make learning fun. We cater to students of all ages, from 5 to 60+, and all experience levels, from beginners to advanced. We offer private lessons for undivided attention and tailored progress, competition preparation, and regular concerts and recitals for performance experience and confidence-building. Participation in music festivals, competitions, and workshops is also available.

Responsibilities

Preparing and implementing a teaching plan in line with the school’s rigorous yet flexible teaching methodology.
Providing knowledge and instruction while also helping students develop their love of music.
Presenting lessons in a comprehensive manner and using visual/audio means to facilitate learning.
Providing individualized instruction to each student by promoting interactive learning.
Creating and distributing educational content (notes, summaries, assignments etc.).
Assessing and recording students’ progress and providing feedback.
Maintaining a tidy and orderly classroom.
Collaborating and participating in regular meetings with teachers, parents, and the director.
