About The Position

Instruct performing arts students in musical ensemble sectional rehearsals. This is an on-call, fixed-term position with a hiring range of $135/hour, with compensation based on education, experience, skills, and internal equity. The instructor will provide instruction and ensemble coordination for music ensemble sectional rehearsals as assigned by the ensemble director, and may fulfill other instructional, academic, or performance duties as assigned by supervisors. Flexibility to accommodate assignments involving evenings and weekends is required.

Requirements

• Masters degree, or equivalent professional experience/training required.
• Record of successful professional performance and teaching required.
• Demonstrated knowledge of successful teaching techniques.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgement.
• Ability to effectively establish and maintain cooperative working relationships within a diverse multicultural environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction and ensemble coordination for music ensemble sectional rehearsals, as assigned by ensemble director.
