About The Position

Eastern Mennonite University (EMU) is seeking an adjunct faculty member for the Music program to teach one or more in-person, undergraduate music courses and/or lessons. The specific role is Orchestra Director. The instructor will be responsible for directing the EMU Orchestra rehearsals on Tuesdays from 7-8:30pm, including relevant dress rehearsals and concerts. Additionally, the instructor will liaise with community members to fill the orchestra ranks. Instructors must be able to teach in person, and travel reimbursement is available for those traveling significant distances to campus. Faculty are contracted per course for the fall semester, with salary determined by education and experience. Requirements

  • Master's degree required.
  • Ability to teach in person.
