The fundamental reason this classification exists is to protect property, visitors, and employees while enforcing the security rules and regulations. Primary work responsibilities may include: patrolling buildings, structures, and/or grounds; utilizing surveillance equipment to observe staff, patrons, and other visitors; investigating and taking appropriate action when alarms are activated or unusual situations occur; completing and submitting work orders; and interacting with patrons, visitors, and staff members. Employee works under the direction of the Zoo Security Supervisor or Museum Chief Security Officer.
