This position provides support for onboarding and offboarding processes for employees, OPS staff, volunteers, and affiliates. It involves entering and maintaining HR data in relevant systems, ensuring accuracy and completeness, and collecting and routing required documentation for processing and approval. The role assists with routine appointment changes, extensions, and separations, and maintains onboarding and separation checklists. It also maintains accurate employee and affiliate records, performs routine updates and corrections within HR systems, and generates basic HR reports and data extracts. The HR Generalist I supports the organization of departmental HR files, ensures the confidentiality and integrity of HR data, and monitors time entry submissions, following up on missing or incomplete timesheets. The role processes routine payroll and time adjustments, routes discrepancies for resolution, and assists with payroll distribution updates and leave tracking. Additionally, it processes non-employee affiliations, visitor appointments, and volunteer records, supports onboarding, documentation, and training compliance for volunteers and affiliates, and assists the Volunteer Program with administrative tasks. The position serves as an initial point of contact for routine HR inquiries, provides guidance on processes, forms, and systems, routes complex issues, and communicates HR deadlines. Finally, it supports general HR operations, contributes to process improvements, assists with system training, and performs other assigned duties.
