About The Position

The Iowa 80 Trucking Museum is seeking a part-time Museum Custodian. This role is ideal for an early bird who enjoys history and antique trucks. The museum features a family collection of antique toys, over 130 antique trucks, old gas pumps, a movie theatre, and a gift shop, and is currently undergoing expansion. The position offers a fun, close-knit team environment.

Requirements

• Dependable
• Reliable transportation
• Must be 18 or older
• Friendly, customer service-oriented
• Attention to detail
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and reach for extended periods
• Ability to climb step stools, ladders, and use custodial equipment safely

Responsibilities

• Maintain floors using appropriate cleaning methods and equipment
• Perform routine waste collection
• Clean bathrooms
• Clean antique trucks, vintage gas pumps, and antique signs
• Occasional coverage as museum attendant
