About The Position
Multi-disciplined consulting firm with an established office is looking to add a talented Municipal Engineer/Project Manager to their Champaign, Illinois team. This role involves project management, client relations, design of municipal infrastructure, mentoring junior staff, and preparing technical reports and regulatory permits.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
- 5+ years of public works experience
- PE License
- Experience in client and project management
- Must be authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship
Nice To Haves
- Extensive knowledge of regulations/requirements
- Experience with funding and grants available to municipalities
Responsibilities
- Project management duties (project planning, scoping, budgeting, and QA/QC)
- Prepare details, specifications, and bidding documents
- Assume client relations duties such as attending council meetings with clients
- Design municipal infrastructure projects
- Mentor junior staff
- Prepare technical reports and regulatory permits
