About The Position

Primera is seeking a Municipal Construction Resident Engineer to lead construction projects for municipalities throughout the Chicagoland area. The role includes managing project staff, working closely with contractors, and serving as the field contact for clients. The Resident Engineer chairs progress meetings, applies technical expertise across construction inspection activities, and examines completed installations for conformity with contract documents. The position also involves collaborating with clients, stakeholders, colleagues, consultants, subconsultants, and vendors while maintaining a focus on strong relationships and superior client service.

Requirements

Demonstrated competence leading projects as a Resident Engineer.
Experience managing construction projects as a Resident Engineer, including project staff management and working with contractors.
Ability to interface and collaborate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and colleagues.
Strong organization, leadership, and communication skills.
Proficiency with business applications; understanding of Microsoft Office 365 is required.

A civil engineering degree.
