The UCSF Dyslexia Center focuses on improving diagnosis, care, and interventions for children and adults with learning challenges. The multidisciplinary research team includes neuroscientists, geneticists, and clinicians across language, reading, cognition, aging, visuospatial, and social domains who examine the whole person throughout the lifespan. The Dyslexia Center has developed Multitudes, a state-funded early reading screening tool for kindergarten through second-grade students. Available at no cost to California public schools, Multitudes assists educators in identifying possible reading obstacles, supporting early intervention, and highlighting student strengths. The Multitudes Training Specialist supports the statewide implementation of Multitudes by facilitating virtual and in-person training sessions for educators throughout California. Working as part of a dynamic, interdisciplinary team, the Training Specialist helps users adopt and effectively implement the Multitudes platform and screener with K–2 students.
