About The Position

Responsible for leading the HR function covering multiple plant sites in order to meet the strategic and operational commitments of the business unit(s) and HR function with a high degree of effectiveness. Act as a liaison between employer and employee, overseeing employee relations, to support a positive culture. Involved in escalation of disciplinary or legal action when necessary and/or consistent with collective bargaining agreements. Updating employees with any changes in company policy/contract provisions. Advising assigned supervisors on treatment of staff, company policies and collective bargaining agreements. Resolving and mediating employee complaints. Participate in negotiations, contract arbitration or mediation proceedings. Represents locations on community advisory panels as appropriate. Conducts investigations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in HR or related field
  • 5-10 years' experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Multi-site experience is required
  • Proven ability to lead and influence change
  • Self-driven, proactive problem solver with great communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to be flexible and travel to various sites as required

Nice To Haves

  • Certification preferred (SPHR, SHRM-SCP)
  • Labor relations experience preferred
  • Bilingual (Spanish) a plus
