About The Position
Wellabe is seeking a Multimedia Specialist to join its Brand and Communications team. The role brings the company’s brand to life through visual storytelling, creating video, motion graphics, animation, and other multimedia content for internal and external audiences. Working with team members and internal customers, the specialist develops visual content from concept through completion to strengthen the brand and support business objectives. The position combines videography, post-production editing, motion graphics, animation, audio and video production, and photography support. It also includes helping manage the onsite production studio, recommending equipment and software, maintaining an organized library of video assets, and following project-request, quality, brand, compliance, and approval processes. The specialist stays current with emerging technologies, industry standards, best practices, styles, and trends.
Requirements
- Extensive knowledge of video production equipment and video-set management, including set lighting, video camera and lens operation, technical video-shooting skills, and directing talent and subjects.
- At least 5 years of professional video production experience, including filming, directing, editing, and post-production.
- Ability to transform ideas and written content into engaging visual stories using motion, imagery, and sound, and to develop creative solutions that support project and company goals.
- Collaborative approach that fosters trust, teamwork, and transparency, and values giving and receiving constructive feedback.
- Ability to consistently apply brand standards and content style guidelines, including basic AP style.
- Exceptional communication, time-management, and project-prioritization skills, with the ability to manage complex projects and synthesize input from multiple stakeholders.
- Proficiency with video editing software, specifically Adobe Creative Suite, including Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
- Bachelor’s degree in film/video production, communications, or a related field; a combination of education and/or relevant work experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
- Valid Iowa driver’s license and eligibility to drive under the company’s corporate auto policy.
Responsibilities
- Create and edit visual content that supports strategic objectives and strengthens Wellabe’s brand internally and externally.
- Create on-brand motion graphics, animations, and visual effects, including animated typography, illustrations, icons, transitions, and other graphic elements.
- Direct, record, edit, and distribute video and audio content across internal and external channels.
- Manage production needs, including set selection, lighting, camera and sound operation, and directing subjects.
- Collaborate with team members and internal customers to plan video and audio projects, including creative concepts, audience and project goals, scope, timelines, scripts, storyboards, and interviews.
- Provide photography support by capturing and editing imagery for communications and creative projects.
- Work with team members to manage the onsite production studio and recommend equipment and software.
- Follow file organization, naming, quality assurance, and archiving processes for the video asset library.
- Follow departmental procedures for project requests, including submission through the project management system and the required review and approval process.
- Ensure finished products meet brand guidelines, quality standards, and compliance requirements.
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies, industry standards, best practices, styles, and trends.
