Designs, plans, installs, debugs, troubleshoots, refines, and supports highly complex audiovisual software and hardware for classrooms, lecture halls, and conference rooms in a timely manner without the need for management approval. Responds to tier two and tier three service requests in a timely fashion. Evaluates equipment, components, and software for new solutions to complex systems and advises faculty and staff on appropriate selection and use of audio-visual equipment. Provides instruction and guidance for faculty and staff who need assistance in becoming familiar with equipment after installation. Follows up with customers and vendors to ensure smooth operations. May serve as on-call support as needed. Coordinates video conference sessions. Serves as a technical facilitator for video conference sessions ensuring equipment and space is prepared for learning and communication. Live streams and records learning sessions and monitors, edits, and posts results. May develop and design requirements and prototypes for improving video conference service. Develops strategies for implementing multimedia technology across a range of programs and initiatives, including systems and procedures to enhance classroom teaching and lecturing. Recognizes when system limitations exist in relation to teaching and independently coordinates changes regarding equipment modification or replacement. Considers adaptations to current workflows and communicates with faculty, staff, and management.
