About The Position

UF Information Technology (UFIT) is seeking an intermediate-level Multimedia Specialist to join Academic Technology. This role will assist with studio management, video recording, editing, and delivery of educational content. The Multimedia Specialist will support faculty video needs and produce engaging video for training and tutoring. This position requires competence with video lecture recordings in a studio setting, managing a team, video recording, post-production, talent interaction, and final delivery of materials following UF Standards of Excellence. The role aligns with the university mission by ensuring quality control of video production, precise and professional senior leadership recordings, and compliance with ADA and accessibility requirements.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One year of relevant experience
  • Competent with video lecture recordings in a studio setting
  • Knowledgeable in managing a team
  • Knowledgeable in video recording
  • Knowledgeable in post-production
  • Knowledgeable in talent interaction
  • Knowledgeable in final delivery of materials following the UF Standards of Excellence

Nice To Haves

  • Two or Four year degree in video production or related discipline
  • 2+ years of camera experience and management of small staff
  • Work experience with studio settings
  • Work experience with schedule management
  • Work experience with project management software
  • Demonstrated proficiency in video production
  • Demonstrated proficiency with professional multimedia software
  • Customer services skills
  • Demonstrates ability to adhere to a strict file management system
  • Ability to produce and edit interactive media using computer technology

Responsibilities

  • Daily studio opening and managing a team of student workers
  • Understanding the video and audio equipment in studios and able to troubleshoot issues quickly
  • Comfortable working with Adobe Creative Suite of editing tools (Premiere, After Effects, Audition)
  • Assist with studio management, video recording, editing and delivery of educational content
  • Support faculty video needs
  • Produce engaging video for training and tutoring
  • Ensure quality control of video production
  • Ensure University of Florida’s senior leadership recordings are precise, professional, and timely
  • Comply with all ADA and accessibility requirements
