About The Position

WLBT-TV in Jackson, MS, is looking for an energetic, forward-thinking digital leader to help drive our next chapter of growth as our Multimedia Sales Manager. This organized and creative professional will help lead our digital sales efforts and work in tandem with the Director of Sales on business development for the station, specifically championing digital sales. The ideal candidate: - Has 5+ years of digital sales experience and/or digital agency experience (preferred) - Has experience in SEM, AT, and Streaming TV (these are our top sellers) - Brings hands-on experience with Google Analytics 4 (GA4); certification is a bonus - Knows how to put smart, data-backed recommendations together for high-end clients and then execute and optimize digital campaigns to deliver results - Has a proven track record of growing market share, building successful client partnerships, coaching and training a local team, and staying relevant in the ever-changing digital and broadcast landscape - Is goal-oriented, driven, and able to motivate the local sales team to achieve their individual sales goals - Can manage multiple projects, communicate across departments, and ensure projects and campaigns are executed exactly as proposed and sold - Is extremely organized with strong time management skills - Brings energy, curiosity, and a forward-thinking mindset to the role every day - This position is an excellent opportunity to open other doors within the company in future years. Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university or equivalent is preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of prior experience in broadcast sales or equivalent digital sales/digital agency experience preferred
  • 3 years of experience in managing a sales team, strategic planning, and a track record of growing revenue is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Driving digital revenue growth and achieving revenue targets with a focus on new local direct business
  • Providing digital training, tools, and guidance to the sales team to keep them sharp and ahead of the curve
  • Assisting Multimedia Executives in presenting, pitching, and closing business with a strong digital story
  • Developing compelling sales presentations and collateral using up-to-date research, data, and insights
  • Maintaining campaign tracking, delivery, optimization, and reporting to ensure campaign success and client satisfaction
  • Working at a partnership/consultative level as an expert in digital advertising with a Multimedia Executive and advertisers, turning client goals into actionable digital strategies
  • Recruiting and hiring
  • Exceptional skills in recruiting, coaching, and training sellers
  • Achieving digital and broadcast sales objectives, building strong relationships, communicating clearly, and the ability to forecast, manage budgets, and execute a strategic plan are critical
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, stay extremely organized, and use great time management
