About The Position

The Multimedia Production Specialist is responsible for producing high-quality audio and video content that advances Food For The Poor’s mission and enhances donor, partner, and internal engagement. This role supports the full lifecycle of multimedia production—including pre-production, live and recorded production, and post-production—while ensuring the effective operation of studio environments and equipment. The Specialist collaborates with internal stakeholders to translate concepts into compelling visual and audio storytelling across multiple platforms (digital, broadcast, and live events). This role combines creative execution with technical expertise and operational discipline to deliver consistent, mission-aligned content. This role requires occasional off-site production.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Multimedia Production, Communications, Broadcast Media, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Minimum of 4–6 years of hands-on experience in multimedia production (video, audio, and/or broadcast)
  • Experience operating studio and field production equipment
  • Proficiency in multimedia production tools (Adobe Creative Suite, video/audio editing platforms)
  • Strong technical skills in camera operation, lighting, and audio production
  • Solid understanding of studio operations and production workflows
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Creative storytelling ability with attention to detail and quality
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Problem-solving mindset with adaptability in fast-paced environments
  • Service-oriented approach with a focus on internal client support

Responsibilities

  • Execute end-to-end multimedia production, including planning, filming, recording, editing, and publishing content for digital and broadcast platforms
  • Produce video, audio, and podcast content that aligns with organizational branding and storytelling objectives
  • Support live and recorded productions, including studio-based broadcasts and on-location event coverage
  • Prepare and operate studio equipment, including cameras, lighting, audio systems, switchers, and recording tools
  • Monitor and ensure audio/video quality during live and recorded productions
  • Maintain studio readiness, troubleshoot technical issues, and coordinate with Information Services as needed
  • Manage and maintain production equipment inventory and functionality
  • Edit and finalize multimedia content using industry-standard tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects)
  • Optimize content for various platforms (social media, web, broadcast)
  • Organize, archive, and manage digital media assets for easy retrieval and reuse
  • Partner with internal clients to understand production needs and deliver effective creative solutions
  • Manage production workflows and requests through project management systems (e.g., Monday.com, Workfront)
  • Coordinate timelines and deliverables with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Social Media, and PMO
  • Support live fundraising campaigns, studio broadcasts, and mission-driven events
  • Assist with setup, execution, and breakdown of multimedia components for in-person and virtual events
  • Stay current with multimedia trends, tools, and technologies
  • Contribute ideas to enhance storytelling, audience engagement, and production quality
  • Identify opportunities to improve production processes and efficiencies
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned in support of departmental and organizational priorities
