About The Position

The Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) is a non-profit, bipartisan public policy organization established in 1962. The iDeas Lab, the creative and digital production department at CSIS, is seeking candidates for a full-time, six-month multimedia production internship in Washington D.C. beginning October 2026. The internship focuses on video and audio production for podcasts, enhancing CSIS's policy research with modern digital products. The intern will support multimedia producers and collaborate with web development and design teams on various creative projects. This role is ideal for a self-starter passionate about video and digital media production, offering practical experience and portfolio-building opportunities. The internship is paid hourly, with rates varying based on educational background.

Requirements

A./B.S in relevant field (or rising senior)
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, including operating in a fast-paced environment and managing competing priorities
Strong attention to detail, initiative, and follow-through skills
Eligible to work in the United States

Nice To Haves

Adobe Suite experience a plus

Responsibilities

Serve as primary video editor for CSIS vertical video series’, including Asked and Answered; and YouTube versions of various CSIS podcasts
Produce videos for CSIS video series including The ReCap and Testify
Assist with studio set-up and editing of video interviews
Source B-roll and music for CSIS video products, and assist with pre-production research as needed
Edit full-length podcast episodes and other audio features using Adobe Audition
Curate video and audio content on our websites, social media platforms, and other content delivery networks
Assist our developers, producers, and designers with other tasks as needed
