About The Position

WLFI is seeking an experienced Multimedia Journalist to join our team. This role involves developing, gathering, shooting, writing, and editing compelling news stories daily. The journalist will also report live from the field, write and edit content for the website, and contribute story ideas regularly. Developing and maintaining contacts and news sources is crucial, as is attending and representing the station at community events. The position requires organizational skills and the ability to work under pressure.

Requirements

• College degree in journalism or related field
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required
• Strong News judgment
• Strong Writing Skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under pressure of strict deadlines
• Non-linear editing
• ENPS
• Web Publishing Skills
• Background check required
