Responsibilities

Start the day with the newscast, showcasing stories crafted the day before.
Participate in editorial meetings to discuss stories and determine the lead story.
Pitch content through Microsoft Teams the day before, having made calls and prearranged interviews.
Confirm interviews, research facts and background information.
Get out to get fresh video.
Shoot own video and interviews.
Write and edit stories for broadcast.
Post stories to the station website and social media platforms.
Make story pitch for the next day, having already made calls and researched the topic ahead of time.
