About The Position

KMPH is looking for an Evening Multi-Media Journalist to join their team in Central California. This role offers an opportunity to hone skills and advance your career. The ideal candidate will be a creative storyteller who can enhance content for digital and social platforms. The position requires flexibility to work weekends and potentially fill-in as an anchor or producer.

Requirements

• A minimum of (2) years reporting experience is required.
• Experience with live shots is required.
• Sharp news judgment.
• The ability to tell an NPPA style story.
• Excellent technical skills.
• The ability to work well independently.
• Strong writer with the ability to learn how to produce newscasts to work as a fill-in as needed.
• Must have and maintain a valid license and a good driving record.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Live-U is a plus.
• Candidate must think outside the box and elevate their storytelling with enhanced content on our digital and social platforms.

Responsibilities

• Tell stories in an NPPA style.
