About The Position

WGXA is looking for a Multi-Media Journalist (MMJ). This role involves reporting, shooting, and editing news stories, developing story ideas, cultivating contacts, and fulfilling other assigned duties. The MMJ will be responsible for creating daily content across multiple platforms, including the internet, social media, and mobile devices, in addition to television broadcasts.

Requirements

• Sharp news judgment
• The ability to tell an NPPA style story
• Excellent technical skills
• The ability to work well independently
• Must have and maintain a valid license and a good driving record
• A minimum of 2 years reporting experience is required
• Experience with live shots is required

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Live-U is a plus
