About The Position

WTAJ-TV has an immediate opening on our award-winning news team. We are Your News Leader in Central Pennsylvania, and we need an individual who can present story ideas, maximize contacts and tell great stories each day on air, online, and on our streaming channel WTAJ+. And there’s plenty to do in Central PA, including outdoor activities, family entertainment, college sports, minor league baseball, and of course, Groundhog Day! We’re also a short road trip to major cities like Pittsburgh, Washington D.C., and Philadelphia. Position Responsibilities Produces and presents reports for WTAJ, WTAJ.com, and WTAJ+, as well as social media Reports news quickly and accurately and ensures that all content meets company standards for journalistic integrity and production quality Gathers information about events through research, interviews, experience or attendance at political, news, sports, artistic, social or other functions Pitches stories to news managers and news producers which are relevant to the local community Performs special projects and other duties as assigned Skill/Experience Requirements Excellent communication skills, both oral and written with the ability to ad lib when required Superior on-air presence Proficiency in Adobe Premiere and Photoshop experience is a plus Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience Nexstar Media Group, Inc. Requirements

• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written with the ability to ad lib when required
• Superior on-air presence
• Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience

Nice To Haves

• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere and Photoshop experience is a plus
